Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Club Nintendo struggling to keep up with demand?

I finally started ordering things from Club Nintendo this year ... and most items have come within a week.
I thought that was pretty quick, personally.

And if anyone has points they don't feel like using, let me know and I will gladly place an order for items that you could then allow me to acquire through appropriate business dealings.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

I wondered why my Zelda 25th posters hadn't come yet...

Hope they get more of those game cases as well.

I can answer this one!

I got my set of posters in early january and then, a few weeks ago, I got an e-mail from club nintendo pointing out the there was an art error on one of the posters (that I hadn't noticed) and notifying me that they were sending me a replacement copy in the mail.

The backlog from the posters is probably because of that -- they're probably sending replacements to all the people who have the one with the error first before getting back to fulfilling new orders.

Is there an error on the posters? The posters were out of stock in Japan as well for awhile. I finally managed to snag mine about 2 weeks ago, though I haven't actually opened the package yet to look at them.

I'm surprised that games don't come with points though. In Japan all Nintendo games on DS/3DS/Wii games come with Nintendo points no matter who made the game. Games do have a 2 year time limit to redeem the points. Hardware doesn't have that limit. I bought a used Gameboy Micro (Famicom ver.) about 2 years ago and the former owner hadn't registered the points, so I was able to redeem them myself. You can't redeem them for games though.

I'm waiting for the card case to come back in stock so I can order one.

I love how they give you game downlkoads now too. I got Super Mariokart and LoZ Majoras Mask from them. :)

Backorders are nothing new. I've had quite a few items I've tried ordering in the past that were backordered and I had to wait for 'em.

Now how does that work? Do they just give you credit at the store, or do you have to do some sort of code to get those games?

They give you a code at Club Nintendo that you enter at the Wii Shop Channel.

@Spurgeonryan
Only 150 points!

Points have expiring dates in Japan? Is this in Europe also? Stopped filling them in when I got bored of the rewards.
Need to check my points tomorrow...

Especially since the rewards have finally started to become worth it. I think the only people I ever remember cashing their Club Nintendo stuff in were Smeags and maybe Mr. T-TAr before. Now there is a lot of reason to do so.

Maybe in the States.

Just checked and NoE's limit is under 4 years, so that's a big time frame to work with. And of the six games I haven't registered, I'd only get a Kirby wallet out of it. When you register the points, they also expire in two years time. I lost 2000 star points due to this, it's the other reason why I stop filling them in.

You Americans get all the good stuff. The things we get on our European Club Nintendo are horrendous in comparison. :(
