Hm...how about Legend of Dragoon?

Just bought that today, it's on my to do list after Chrono Cross, XenoGears, and likely XenoBlade and Tales of Vesperia (already started it, so I kind of want to finish it).

Are you actually trying to collect games? You could just get Grandia and several other good RPGs off of PSN for $10 or less.

Oh yeah, and I'll throw out a recommendation for the Wild Arms series since I haven't seen anyone else mention them yet. The dungeons are fun and have a bit of puzzle solving in them. The battles are pretty typical turn-based fare, but the games really set themselves apart with their western theme.

Hmm since most JRPG's were already mentioned, might I recommend two action role playing games? Both are made by Squaresoft and are pretty decent.

1. Brave Fencer Musashi
2. Threads of Fate

I never got to complete Musashi though...but Threads of Fate I did, two times to be exact.

EDIT: Also, someone mentioned Legend of Legaia, and I recommend that game also.

I think I want to, but not at these prices. Going to look around at garage sales in the summer, I've gotten great deals before.

It's just I own an extensive Gamecube, X-Box, N64, GBA, DS, GB, Dreamcast, SNES, and Genesis collection. Just want to populate my PS1 and PS2 library.

I might get a few over PSN instead of actual hard copy, Chrono Trigger for instance is like a $100 game complete, but $8 on Wiiware, so I just got it for Wii. Might have to get Grandia and Valkyrie Profile on PSN because they cost more then new retail games.

Oh yea, my retro gaming is getting a good fix for the next few months. Who needs current gen games when the best RPG's are old school. Can't wait for XenoBlade.

Grandia is best game ever.

Tales of Vesperia, Lost Odyssey, Skies of Arcadia, Star Ocean II and III, Rogue Galaxy, Suikoden 1 and 2. All must have Rpgs.

Brave Fencer Musashi is also very good and I seem to have fond memories of Azure Dreams too..
