Does Sony Care More About Their Gamer's Then Microsoft and Nintendo...

People keep getting hung up on the business model.
Do they offer a core experience with a ton of features and a ton of games?
Did they launch with the largest loss leading console? Yes.
It seems someone at Sony knows what gamers want.

They have remained Sony all these years. They wont change with the trends and sell their identity. They wont say "screw you" 9 months out of the year by not offering games. They wont recycle the same tired ip's over and over without any consideration towards their core fans.
They especially wont make you pay for ads.
Sure.. On a first pass one might deduce that Sony doesn't have the best business model- but nobody knows their strategy, This could all be a setup for the next- greatest thing ever.
But regardless it is obvious that YES, they do seem to care the most for their fans.. when compared to the competition.
and look - I can do this too -> /thread

Sorry I just have to get this in at a certain recent post in this thread:

LOL!

Also PS3News, to your 'second question' answer is still: nope :)

I don't think Sony cares about its customer base anymore or less than Microsoft or Nintendo.  The fact that Sony loses money on systems isn't because it cares, it's because Sony has made business decisions (good or bad) that have resulted in the product being more expensive than the market can bear.  Thus in order to align the product pricing with what consumers will accept or reasonably consider, they have to drop the price.

@basilzero I'm pretty sure that high school/college students were not the target market for either the Xbox 360 or the PS3. Even then gamers were aging, and I think (espeically Sony) targetted an older demographic. One with more disposable income.

No, they don't. If they cared, to use the most recent example, they would include a memory card at no additional cost for the consumer with every PS Vita. Instead they are proprietary and sold separately.

Or an HDMI Cord with a PS3. -.-

Just like any other company, they care just as much about money as much as the next guy.

For all I know, MS cares just about as much. (adding 50 entertainment apps, some are even free)

But in terms of exclusives in 2011, maybe not as much..

Yay!!!

Nah, can't blame Sony for that. The HDTV penetration rate was still low when the PS3 launched, so most people wouldn't have had a need for an HDMI cord. What we can blame Sony for is that they should have bundled a free Bravia with every PS3 (plus an HDMI cord, of course), so that all of their consumers can experience their new console to the fullest.

They could have at least included it with the PS3 Slim Release though.

If Sony cared, they would have given free ps3s to the people in Africa.

LOL wtf? XD

 Haha! A little overboard! ;)

Sony cares deeply about gaming. But its not because they love you PS3 News...

Its because despite being 3rd in sales and profits so far this gen, gaming is one of the few tech industries where they still can remain competitive.
