All the older 360's had a 3 year warrenty so many got replaced for free by MS, which has never counted as a sale. I do believe the failure rate was higher than 54%(much lower now), but saying almost half of the sales were due to replacement 360's is silly. I believe the sales would be greater now if MS never had the RROD issue.

I want to know were you get your numbers? There are about 35 million folks with Xbox Live and about 15 million of them have Gold. I'm not sure how you get 25 million replacements and count that from XBL members because they're not related what-so-ever. Sounds like wild guessing to me.    

Here is where your wrong.I said most of my friends brought new Xbox360's because their Pro bundled 360's warranty was over.So they brought new ones thinking the Elite version and a new Xbox360 would work.The Elite still got RROD.Back to the main point of this arguement.

I dont know if there wasnt any RROD the 360 sales would be that much greater because then no one would have to buy an extra 360.I know someone on YouTube who on his 7th Xbox360 yes 7th!He loves it that much that he could care less about how much the hardware is crap.

BTW, I have bashed and praised all consoles and companies equally at various times, so, yeah, unlike you, I don't feel the need to validate my console choice by blindy protecting a large corperation that only cares about what's in my wallet, which they all do, although I don't expect you to understand that.

lol i'll reiterate, that the guy who seems to believe intelligence is linked to the type of console one owns posts something like this is amusing to me, maybe next you'll post that owning an xbox guarentees that your brain is 10% bigger than someone who doesn't
