I don't know if I've been completely asleep at the wheel here for the past four years, but on the off chance that I haven't, VGC still tracks numbers sold.
Whether MS shipped over 15m units in 2011 really has no bearing on the VGC numbers.
Don't know how long it will take for all corrections for 2011 to be settled, but it's probably still too early for any more smug posts.

You have, and it does.
Vgchartz always updates their numbers when MS announces their shipment totals, every single year they do this. After the yearly adjustments the shipment vs sell through difference is never 1.6 million. Hell, it could be as much as 2.5 because MS said they shipped over 50 million last year and it was 50.8 in their report.

I sure it'll be the latter. I'm not even sure if there is enogh data to warrant an update here yet.
Whatever the state is now, the usual trend is back with PS3 WW sales higher than 360 and just as I commented previously it'll be 3-4 months from now closing on to 1 million lead starting from the current 300 K+.

Uh, I like those just as much as you but I think you need to relax a little. I'm sure if Seece is going to due such a thing, he will wait until it's undisputable, unless of course you want to be on the wrong end of those types of quotes.

300k+? That's pre-adjusted last year numbers. We don't know how big the gap is yet for 2012 because we haven't gotten numbers for January yet.
