Shipped, yeah. Likely sold to retail too considering its weekly sales rate.
It's also worth mentioning that the PSP has passed 70 Million too.
The best thing is 5 years down the line those people who are buying PS2's now will most probably get a Ps3 as an ideal upgrade.
This PS2's prolonged success is only going to help the Ps3 later on

Lol! Not having back compatibility helped extend the PS2 a bit, but the success in emerging markets is outstanding! Of course, Sony really worked for it, they didn't have to reach out.
I'm gonna buy another one when they announce it's discontinuation. If they ever do lol. For posterity. :)

I still think they will anounce PS3 SKU with BC the next day after they stop production of PS2 ;)
