I was around here in 2006 and never did the ps3 owners said that lair or heavenly sword etc.. would save the ps3,they just said those were big games,but never actually said that those games would sell a lot of units.And just like now they didnt believed that the ps3 needed to be saved

If it makes you feel better, I'm seeing it in the post for what it is- a reference to the system's past. It's a reference to when the PS3 was not doing as well, and how many loyalists kept saying that X would save it, despite, as some others have mentioned, that one game alone this gen is incapable of doing so. It's no longer in need of saving, as you said, because of the list of things it has now. So I'll say that I do not see any reason to mod that post, and I have the reputation of being one of the hardest mods here.

I agree, Rol has actually killed any trolling meaning of that picture.

 

As as being a hard mod, that's wishful thanking, ssj12 was a hard mod, he use to ban us for debating him.

A killer app, released early in the life of a console, can propel it to first place.  It gets harder the longer the console is on the market, because then libraries matter.  In addition to libraries, who people know that owns whatever system, makes a difference to.  People will buy what their friends are buying.

dude, Vgchartz has no data in South America, and no data in many Europe and Asian Countries

I saved my ps3 from drowning and a fire once and man it still plays just great!

Anyways considering the PS3 is last place in sales and has about 45 million sales, I'd say I'm fine with how its doing. It'll soon pass the SNES and will easily pass the NES which were Nintendo's best sellers before the Wii.

I don't get how anyone in their right mind could have called Lair or Heavenly Sword a "PS3 savoir" though. Like how could a lame-ass dragon riding game be a system seller? 

The only games I would have truly called/predicted to be system sellers would be MGS4, GT5, GTA4, FF13 and maybe God of War 3. Nothing else really makes sense.
