That's over a 50% drop. Something is telling me MIcrosoft won't be making their target of 5 million by the end of the year...

Kinect sales will just increase from here. You have the initial big launch then take some time to restock in time for the huge boost that starts next week (reported on VGC in 2 weeks).

Only a portion of Kinect users will be interested in Dance Central, and the original Just Dance sold 4 times more than the current Kinect install base.  I'm not sure why you'd expect dance central to beat it right out of the gate.  Though I had expected it to be closer to Kinect Sports than it is.  It certainly got much more attention, but I guess people have become conditioned to want a sports game with these new motion controllers.

There is another big reason to JD2 outsell DC:  JD2 has a multiplayer mode for 8 people while in DC only 2 gamers can play at the same time.

good point, but I thought it would start selling more since kinect is so popular and people may perceive it as a better control scheme. (dont get me wrong, I like just dance 2) but yes, just dance 1 was very big, I guess dance central will have good legs too

 MS would be smart to make a price drop next week. Not only would it push more units but more Kinect units too. How long has it been since the last real MS price drop now?
