Forums - Gaming Discussion - Great Games You Never Want To Play Again

Just like the title says.  Is there a quality game that you played, enjoyed, and never ever EVER want to play again?  I'll start:  As kid, one of my first purchases was a game called the Adventures of Bayou Billy.  I read about it before I bought it and I was hyped.  It featured side scrolling beat-em-up stages, 3rd person driving stages, and some first person shooting stages that featured using the Zapper Light Gun.  On the flipside, this game was fucking hard!!  Graphics were good, gameplay was pretty good, music was great, etc.  But when I finally beat that game and the credits finished rolling, I kicked that game out of my house like a hooker on Sunday morning.

So, any games that you liked but wouldn't play again if somebody payed you?  Maybe they aged poorly (fuck you, Nes Double Dragon!).  Maybe they were tough (fuck you, Maximo!).  Maybe they didn't have any replay value (fuck you, Legend of the Dragoon!).  Let's hear it.

These are hard to find... So a game that I thought was good but didn't want to play. Damn...

Demons souls maybe? Great game but freeking get some checkpoints in there From Software...

hmmm The last remnant ( i havent even beaten it yet lol but i know i wont eva play it again). The super mario galaxy games, ff 6( neva beat it because something always happens to my save file so when i do beat it ill destroy it. FF 13 i loved it but no reason to go back they need new game plus like the tales series. Tales of destiny (worst dungeons ever i have nightmares about those damn dungeons.)

Viva Pinata, fantastic game but have no desire to ever play it again ...

I'm gonna toss Mortal Kombat 1-4 into that list, too.  I like the franchise, actually.  Even now, some of the fatalities look pretty cool.  There was just too much memorization for me to want to go through that, again.  Special moves, fatalities, dial-a-combos, background moves.  I just couldn't put myself through that, again.  I'd play any Street Fighter game right now, without hesitation.  I don't even want to touch an early Mortal Kombat.

Player Manager 2001 (psOne)

It's very out dated now, regardless of how good it was and the newer games are too in depth for me, this was that "happy medium" but it#s over 10yrs old now.

Demon's Souls (PS3)

Although I might eventually get back to it but the game is just too hard for me, so I'm effectively running scared for now.

Bayonetta (PS3)

I borrowed it from a friend and although I liked it, I don't see myself buying it or borrowing again as there's other games I want to play.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

MW campaign on Vetteran

Wasn't a fan of the online but the campaign was fantastic! I had nightmares of how challenging that was for me, and I'll never put myself through that hell again.

MW2 campaign was a disappointment ...

And title it Demons Souls baby casualz edition

I'm the total opposite of this, I want to play games again cause they bring me great challenge, I beat SMG 100% with both Mario and Luigi, but unlike most Mario Platformers I didn't pick it up again, SMG2 on the other hand I'll pop in anytime. I could say the same about 90% of the games this gen, fun quick romps, have a little multiplayer, done, from there it will sit in my collection to hopefully gain value in 20 years lol

MaxwellGT2000 - "Does the amount of times you beat it count towards how hardcore you are?"

Im up there too...I like challenge.

It just gets tedious replaying the same boring easy parts for 15 minutes over and over only to have the challenging boss kill you...

uncharted 1 2. Great Games, Never really want to play it again. Want to play uncharted 3 though.

Now I would play anygame if people paid me enough :P
