Forums - Sony Discussion - Why are Move games selling so poor?

At Amazon... Out of curiousity I checked and was surprised that I couldn't find any in the top 100 video game bestsellers list.  Are people buying the controller just for Sports Champions?  I'm also surprised that since Move was released sales of PS3s seem to have actually decreased at Amazon.

I was planning on judging the Move's success by the increased sales of PS3s compared to the competition (say an extra 300,000-400,000 consoles would be considered a major success) but now I'm wondering if there will be much of an increase at all.  Does it mean that it will have the impact of basically releasing another DualShock model if it isn't catching on with the expanded audience?

Edit: I wish we could change thread titles, I meant to type "poorly".

I just think the Move will not going to sell a lot... maybe wait till GT5 for good selling on ps3 but the move is not the kind of experience the ps3owners want...

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

According to Malstrom:

"This is why Move and Kinect are not going to amount more than curiosities to gadgeteers. In order for Move and Kinect to succeed, they must sell to Sean Malstrom. These people do not want to sell to me. If they cannot get to me, who does like games, how are they going to get to people who do not like games? How are they going to get to the housewife? Or to grandpa? You cannot get to the non-gamers until you get to the former-gamers."

"Gaming is the unexplored continent. People are not going to get excited to pay more money to go to a place (the Wii experience) that we have been before."

I was a "former gamer" (my last console was a SNES) and now I have only a Wii, so I can understand perfectly Malstrom's opinion.

If Amazon is all we have to judge Move game sales then we are judging way to early...

I don't think Move is going to push any systems until 2011 really - the cost is too much for what is offered. That said, I'mn sick of seeing threads using Amazon to justify whether product x, y, or z is a success after a tiny amount of time of availability. Rome wasn't built in a day, so don't expect Move or any other product to be tremendously big or a huge flop based on one retailer.
