I think GT5. Remember GT games have crazy legs, so there won't be a MW2 first week, but it will continue to sell well for a prolonged period of time.

I think MW2 sales will fall rapidly after CoD Black Ops is released. The competition for the FPS genre is huge so games might have a hard time to have legs, because there always is "the next big thing". Halo is the exception of the rule.

Once CoD Black Ops, Crysis 2, Killzone 3 are released, I can't see a lot of people still picking up MW2. It will be close though.

The hype for GT5 is almost not there. Way too many delays ruined the hype. Preorders in NA aren't "huge" in any way and here in Germany, there is little to no attention towards GT5. I think GT5 might be the only game to do 10 million, but I doubt it is a sureshot. 50/50 IMO.

So I say 0.5 :D

MW1 is still selling well after the next big things happening

and MW1 is way bigger than it and you still think it will drop fast

and over that you think HALO is an exception...................WOW

At the current rate, MW2 should cross 10 million around April the 9th, 2011. Without any decline this is. I think Black Ops, Killzone 3, Crysis 2, Bulletstorm will eat some the sales.

And Halo is in its 150th week and sold 10k this week. More than MW1.

We will see when or if MW2 crosses the 10 million mark.

sure they will eat MW2 sales but that it wouldn't stop MW2 from selling and nobody is expecting it to do it by April 9th,it will sell for a way longer time and reach 10m

why are you even comparing HALO to MW1,mw1 was nowhere near a big franchise as big it is now

and don't forget HALO 3 actually started selling low  but when last year MS bundled the game it resed up again

then HALO wars and HALO ODST came and then HALO 3 again started selling.those two games  weren't that good selling themselves but they kept the HALO name in the news and that helped HALO 3

if halo wars, odst and the bundling didn't happen halo 3 would not be selling that good atm

because u did.

or your 2nd sentence in the first post doesn't make sense.

tht was a typo, sorry my mistake

but still ur first post about halo being an exception isn't true

GTA 4 didn't do it for PS3 what makes you( the people in general who believe this) make GTA 5 move 10 million units?

cause when GT4 launched the userbase was very less and PS3 was expensive, also GTA4 version was 640p.it was also not that good a game

PS3 userbase is alot higher right now and PS3 is very les expensive right now.it will be $199 or lower next fall surely and that will bring more userbase

SONY will also force RStar to make GTA5 on PS3 as good as 360 version or better.

and if it is one of the 3 exclusives that RStar and SONY have a contract about then it will even do 15m,not saying that it will be

Only MW2 stands a chance...

Zero

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will stop selling copies before 10 million, and no future Call of Duty title will be as big as Modern Warfare 2. Modern Warfare 3 will still be big, but with half of Infinity Ward gone, I just can't picture it being anywhere nearly as good.

A possible new GTA game will also fall short. Although a new GTA will still sell better then the old one, just like they did on PS2, because of the competition, the PS3 GTA will get less then half the sames volume of the GTA game, and I can't picture a new GTA getting significantly over 20 million units sold on both the 360 and PS3.

Gran Turismo 5 will also fall short because unlike Gran Turismo 1 and 3, the two best selling Gran Turismo games, Gran Turismo 5 is being sold after the consoles peak popularity, and not close to launch. So GT 5 sales will probably be more similar to GT2 and GT4 sales, only one of which crossed 10 million units. There are also other factors to consider, such as over saturation of the market, the playstation not being the dominant system anymore, stronger competition, and I bet you many of the hardcore racing fans bought a 360 because they couldn't wait 5 years for a GT5.

So I vote zero. There is a chance GT5 will break 10 million, same with Modern Warfare 3, and the new GTA game, but i really doubt any of them will.

so MW2 will just suddenly stop selling ...............lmao

hardcore racing fans??????? - if they were so hardcore they did wait and have the best

and it isn't 5 years but 4 actually

Above: still the best game of the year.

I picked one, but only because I thought MW2 was at 9 million already.  Now that I know it is not, I would go with zero for atleast a couple more years.

I voted 2 earlier but now think about it a little bit more I will have to say 0.  I will say that MW2 have the best chance but GT5 will fall short.  Looking at the Pre-Order numbers for GT5 it looks kinda embarrassing for a Sony #1 (GT5) exclusive vs M$ #1 exclusive (Reach) to have such a BIG gap.
