Yeah. I can kind of see why they did it that way. But still, in a 2D game you're still "aiming" - you have to jump or crouch to get your gun to be on the same plane as the enemy you want to hit. With this autoaim it literally looks like you can run into rooms and spam the fire button until everything is dead.

That's a question about the underlying mechanics to the auto-aim though, stuff nobody's bothered to answer yet. Can you break the auto-aim, and if so, how? What does it take to choose where your shots get to go? If i turn Samus around, will Auto-aim smoothly follow the turn (if i'm surrounded, anyway)

This Thread and those sigs.... are so super awesome cool!!!!

I can't say I like them because they're made by miz..... but they're so cool!!!

wow so much people hatin on the wiimote only here

I tell you one thing I know (me included ) so many people around me that hates the nunchuk and thats one of the reason they hate playin the wii. So whenever we hear theres a game for the wii that uses either the Gc controller, wiimote sideways or classic pro we have to check it out.

As a metroid fan Im happy that the game uses wiimote only bcuz I custom made me something like this for NSMBW http://www.amazon.ca/Nintendo-WiiMote-Controller-Bonus-Retro/dp/B000KWZ6BG

I would've prefer the classic pro but I still know im gonna enjoy the game cuz I never had playin with sens games like goemon

  >

or syphon filter back with the original ps controller

  >

it probably will just get some used to thats it, even I who hates the nunchuck can still play the hell out of Mario Galaxy and end up not thinkin about it

Nintendo made me a gamer so I'd be stupid to ever try to forget that                                             like so many people nowadays

^^ The only problem with that is that you had better be able to point out of it, given that that's essential too.

What!?  This is the first time I have ever heard anyone complain about the Nunchuck.  Well, other than they wish it had better motion sensing.

Anyway, I'm a little confused as to the complaints about using the Wii Remote only for this game.  Granted, I try not to follow games too closely before I can get my hands on it myself, but from what I have seen, it looks like movement is limited to a plane and in first person mode you can't move anyway.

Ask people who own ps3 or xbox 360, they'd tell you that they hate holdin 2 piece of controller to play a game. Thats why me and my friends sometimes laugh at peoples that say they're pros at brawl with the nunchuck and wiimote.

I still think its stupid that Nintendo (Sakamoto) doesnt want to support all the controller the Wii offers.Sin and Punishment does it,brawl and mario kart 2, there's nothin wrong with more option even tho I prefer the Wiimote only to the Nunchuck.

You have strange friends then.  The people I know love being able to hold their hands in any position they want while playing.  A two part controller is a big advantage.

Why no love for the cutscenes? they look like the most awesome thing I've seen in a wii game, the look so cool, everyone seems to complain about it

So you are tellin me that u and ur people prefer playin Smash,NSMBW,Monster Hunter,Punch Out wii, Metal slugs or Tasunoko vs Capcom with a Nunchuck, cuz I know alot of gamers with Wiis and none of them uses the Nunchuck unless they got no other choice.

I could even put MKWii,I myself use the GC controller but I know alot people that prefer the wiimote only but nobody uses the Nunchuck combo again.

Lol.  Nice cherry picked examples.  But yes, my friends and I play Brawl with the Remote and Nunchuck combination.  I also know quite a few people who play MK Wii that way, although I use the Wii Wheel myself.  Metal Slug Anthology's alternate control methods all suck.  None of them control the way you would expect, making the Remote the only viable control method.  I've never played Monster Hunter, but I know there are plenty of people on this website who play it with the Remote and Nunchuck.  I have little or no experience with Punch Out and Tasunoko vs Capcom.

But why did you list those games?  Going through my own library, there are a ton of games that control very well with the Nunchuck.  Twilight Princess, Galaxy 1 and 2, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Brawl, MK Wii, de Blob, The Munchables, Madworld, No More Heroes, Okami, Ghostbusters, and Resident Evil 4.

Back on topic:

Can anyone answer my question?  I thought your movement in this game was restricted along a certain plane, which would mean a d-pad would work just fine for this.  Is your movement more free than that?
