Forums - Gaming Discussion - Why are some Nintendo fans angry with Move?

Because it t3h copies Ninty.

OT:

Seriously, Sony is being the biggest hypocrite in the entire world and hypocrisy is pretty much one of the most annoying things ever.

Because they meant motion control is the future but only Nintendo can do it, thus meaning putting Sony and MS out of business and making Nintendo the only video game company. Sony ruined Nintendo's plan for world domination.

also move it's accurate, overall better tech, what will happen if nintendo thriumps card it's lost?.

it known nintendo try to get out graphics war, but then now both sony and microsoft their motion controls.

it can become n64 all over again if nintendo can't hold their base.

Since when has "better tech" ever decided a console war?

Did the original Xbox outsell the PS2 because it was better tech?

Did the Master System outsell the NES because it was better tech?

Even once Microsoft and Sony have motion controls, they will still lack the Wii's real advantage; brand appreciation within the expanded audience. Much of the casual audience couldn't care less about the Playstation or Xbox brand name, but they'll gobble up the next entry in the "Wii" series. "Wii" has become synonymous with accessible, fun gaming for these people, whereas "Xbox" and "Playstation" conjure up more of a stereotypical, "nerdy teenage boys playing shooters" type of image.

Nintendo fans have been clamouring about motion controls for the past 3 years. If they're mad at anything, it's the fact that some people disregarded motion control gaming until Sony announced their take on it. Like Soleron said, some ideas that were simply left on the table with the Wii may be realized with Move due to better 3rd party support, so that could be an issue too.

On another hand, I used to frequently see Nintendo fans say that their games had better gameplay than the HD consoles due to the pointer/motion controls. Even when they got an inferior version of a game (COD:WaW), it was superior by virtue of controls. Now that multiplatform games will potentially be better in both respects with Move, it'll be fun to see Nintendo fans hate on something they've supposedly been big fans of.

I myself am looking forward to The Move, but I can see why some people are slightly annoyed by it's announcement. For 3 years, Sony kept on saying how "The Wii is a fad" or "motion Controller is just a gimmick" etc.
The way I see it, It's not really Move, that's pissing them off, it's Sony itself.
(But, what the hell do I know? I've never understood how people can get genuinely angry at this kind of stuff...)

Sig says it all.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

i didn't know where mad

thought we are annoyed at the hypocricy. by sony fans just bashing the wii non stop for years and then when this is announced and shown they are praising this like jesus just walked on water.

how this will have the best hardcore games finally in motion (though before saying hardcore games they don't want in motion)
how this is like the wiihd now (though before was saying its not graphics but motion that turns them off wii)
how this is so much better than wiimote, yet ignoring the motion+ that has been out for a long time.

and so on. i'm not pissed at sony or anything, i'm annoyed at the sony fanboys

For so long, a LOT of Nintendo fans and fanboys have said "motion control is the future, it will be the future of gaming" they seemed quite proud Nintendo was the first to do this, but all of a sudden, now Sony's jumped on the bandwagon, they're getting nothing but hostitily.

i think its because a lot of nintendo fans said motion controls make wii the best, now ps3 will have it and 360 will have it, it all of a sudden deletes that argument.

Anyone who thinks that motion conroles alone is why Nintendo has won this generation is badly mistaken.

As far as some Nintendo fans being upset? Yea it's because Sony talked so much shit and now there going to jump in bed for some money. Thats basicly it.

Thing is sony don't have what it takes to get the casuals, the REAL reason Nintendo won this gen. Low cost ( Sony don't have ) Mario ( Sony don't have ) inovation in there controls ( Sony also don't have, lets not forget its 3 years later ). Also theres the Wii sports/fit stuff. I guess Sony could copy Wii fit, i know they already have a Wii sports clone out there.

And as far as im concered Natal is a total joke. I think the Move will have very limited success and i think natal wont have much at all.

To stick up for the HD crowd I have to say I have not read/heard any HD fans saying they can't wait for more/natal. Most of the time it's like i don't want to damn motion controls! Good for them. And the people praiseing move and natal, that bashed the Wii, well fanboys will be fanboys.

i just wanted to point out that Mario didn't help Nintendo last gen. and the inovation in the control's have not been proven yet. but the rest i agree with.
