@ghost of runbang Ninty is making a new cotroller with motion+ function already in, IMO this in a direct response to MOVE & Natal

Link?  I've seen a third party controller like that, but I've heard nothing of an official controller with Motion Plus built in.

Ah, a rumor.  At least it looks like this one might be true.

@oniyide

Why is this a response to Move and Natal?  We've been wondering if Nintendo was going to do this since Motion Plus was first announced.

it's not like nintendo don't do it, get it over it's called competition it's good cuz you will get better prices.

nintendo jumped on CD based disc, ds dual analog/l2r2 buttoms.

Actually, Nintendo's never used a CD-ROM based medium.  Their only optical drives (for GC/Wii) were DVD-ROM based.

And while not analog, Nintendo was the first to implement dual directional inputs in a standard controller (on Virtual Boy of all things).  They've since moved away from that though.  None of their standard pads had L1/R1 shoulders either.  The Classic Controller Pro is their first controller to do it, it's not standard and it was co-designed by Capcom specifically for Monster Hunter.

i can't beleave this is still going on?

@rolstoppable cause Uncharted 2 hasnt sold more than 3 mil, GOW3 more than 2mil, and HEavy rain more than 1mil, try to keep your bias to yourself. you prefer the family fun Ninty makes thats all good, nuff said on that. Everyone one knows that Ninty games sell the best on Wii, but if you have a Wii and dont care for Ninty games your options for quality, original titles are small. as for fighting games, I know its up to 3rd parties in that regard, I have a classic controller myself, but lets keep it real, there hasnt been an abundance of fighting games on Wii since the SNES days. I should wait around and hope that some come out on WII??? im not holding my breath.

@theRepublic I just find it strange that all of a sudden there is whispers of this new controller. I could be wrong, but its just too convient. I dissapointed cause this shows IMO that they could have done this all along, it took another company to finally take this motion thing more serious, function wise.

I highly disagree with this.  I sold my 360 becoz I couldn't get into anything besides Halo, but I have a shelf full of Wii games (and Gamecube for that matter) that I would never even part with (most of which are not Nintendo published and are not aimed at the family unit).  And I don't even have enough time to pick up the other that I'd like to have.  It's all about preferences.  Preferences do not denote fact, not for anyone.

There were rumors of that all-in-one Wii controller in 2008.

There were rumors of that all-in-one Wii controller in 2008.

But Nintendo kept on charging an extra for WM+ functions until a competing controller with them built-in came close to release.
