Forums - Gaming Discussion - Your saddest moment in gaming, what was it?

The day Sega withdrew from the console manufacturing crowd.

The day the doors of Black Isle, Troika, or Westwood shut forever.

The day BioWare was acquired by Vivendi and later by EA.

There have been many sad moments in gaming that have been far more painful to bear than any single moment within a video game.

The end of MGS4 when Snake puts the gun in his mouth and fires....................the other way!

Had a tear in my eye because I thought it really happened! Damn you Kojima!

10 days after GTA4 came out.

I own three GCN memory cards: One for Smash Bros., one for Animal Crossing, and one for everything else. Let's just say that I was pretty (very) frustrated when I found the one for everything else being chewed on by my dog.

I tried everything to get that piece of hardware to work with my GameCube again, but it just wouldn't work (I tried everything from Gorilla glue to toothpicks ). After all of my failings to get it to work, my brother bought me a new Memory Card (since he was the one who left the old one out in the first place) and I went back and beat all of the games that I lost with the old card. At the time it was around 15 games.

I hope your dog doesn't feel guilty, I'm sure it was just an innocent mistake of his/her!

Don't worry, I was more angry at my brother for leaving the Memory Card out in the first place. I could never be mad at muh pup!

Actually, it all turned out pretty well in the end, as the games I had to go and replay were awesome to begin with. So I didn't complain too much.

my parents dog (up until the last few years) would chew anything she got her mouth on. I mean, she used to chew on metal bolts left on the basement floor, and I can't count the number of times she completely destroyed pencils and left peices all over the floor. Heck, my parents actually buy her kevlar toys and she still chews completely through them and destroys them. And guess what... She is a 13lb Westie

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Nordlead Jr. Photo/Video Gallery!!! (Video Added 4/19/10)

The day Sierra stopped making Video Games :( No more Kings Quest, Space Quest, Quest for Glory, and Homeworld (tho Activision is considering selling everything Sierra so maybe there is hope and Homeworld is 100% owned by THQ who will probably do NOTHING with it...since they have not up to this point...)

Next is when my PS3 decided to eat my Demon's Souls trophies. I went from Platinum Glory to 25%. I have no problem playing through a few more times...eventually, but I was almost devastated when I noticed they were gone.
