I hated oblivion, the gameplay was just horrible to me(About a year and a half ago) I love RPG's but I hated that one for some odd reason, the sword animation really pissed me off and the glitchy jumping, I lended it to a friend who loves RPGs and he was of the same opinion, I do find it a bit odd how many absolutely love the game now, but I only got to the bit where you have to go into the tower and find someone, I forgot whom, but that just bored me to hell oddly enough, I should have given that game another chance

Oblivion is much better than Fallout 3. The thing I didn't like in Fallout is it had this big world, but it was bland, you couldn't go into all the building's, you couldn't really customize stuff. It just lacked the depth that Oblivion had, I'd just be walking through a town one minute and then be stuck in some painting the next fighting a swarm trolls. The Shivering Isles expansion is also fantastic, it's a full game on it's own and it's one of the best world's I've ever played in.

Fallout ? not really.

No question! Oblivion is better! Fallout 3 is just Oblivion with guns...

i think Fallout 3 is at least 100 times better than oblivion.

Fallout 3 is my most played 360 game while Oblivion I played for barely 5 hours, theres no comparison for me.

I have never played Fallout 3. I will say Oblivion is the better game of the two. They are two of the best RPGs of this generation alongside Fable 2, Final Fantasy XIII and Mass Effect 1/2.

I say they're pretty equal. Fallout 3 benefits from being released later it has better story, animations and just generally more polish.

Oblivion on the other hand has a larger more thought-out world with more towns and a larger library of lore and history. I also prefer the Oblivion mods over the Fallout 3 ones.
