So how do you feel God of War III's visuals fair to Uncharted 3's? I know you think UC3 is King, and rightfully so, but I'm curious as to what you think of GoWIII.
While i for example love Uncharted 3s opening with having Drake & Sully walk through the immensely detailed London and the editing + music just made me so happy to see my favourite characters again, GoW3 on the other hand has by far the most insane, over the top and pure gorgeus looking visuals to date for that opening alone. I mean its fucking crazy. You're fighting on a titan!
Ive said it before, my opinion being: UC3 > UC2 > GoW3 and my main reasoning being as follows:
There are some ocasions where GoW3 has.. Moments where I go "Whats wrong with the visuals". The labyrinth or well heras garden, shortly after that when you swing across harpies, the place feels honestly a tad "low" in comparison to the insane other momemts. Textures at times on eg rocks that I like to study with Helios head can be bland and hair in general is a bit "off" compared to eg. Uncharted (apparantly GoWA has improved on this, read it somewhere).
It highs beat UC2, but it lows can be ..low, whereas UC2 is far more steady and needless to say UC3 is just in no need for a comment. The three are def. The best looking of the gen on consoles getting 20+ each in awards in 09-10 and 11 respectively. ND has an engine that I feel is quite honestly superior due to their approach with Uncharted. The game never ever takes control away from you as most other games do and that was something I found to be so incredible. All the "Oh! im still in control" wheras GoW is more Quick time event based on those omg moments with still ofc gameplay segments and great camera work to really sell the sheer scale of the game.
ND did however simulate a freaking ocean in Uc3 xD.. as for Kratos. He is the most detailed character ..BEHIND Drake from UC3. While Kratos flexes his muscles, Drake can get wet/dirty/sand-y. Kratos can get blood on himself and his overall animation and texture/polygon work is truly a spectacle - after the set of animations Drake got in Uc3 depending on the situation and the insane quality of seriously matching pre-rendered scenes 100% ingame is baffling to me. Im able to look at Drake whenever whereas in GoW i gotta find that "spot" for the camera. I still think GoW should have a fixed camera though.
Bleh, the game is crazy good and stunning. Best behind NDs sick optimized game. ND has overshadowed Crytek, Dice, Guerilla Games, Epic, Rocksteady and the list goes on. SSM also got similar feats with Rockstar, Bioware to name a few.
Next year is gonna be wicked. ND isnt doing Uncharted so the lack of spectacle sense could let SSM win as well as maybe having it sliightly more open. SSM isnt doing GoWIV though so that helps ND a bit, still though its a GoW and GoW2 did serve as PS2s best looking game, itll be interesting for sure! PS4 w/GoWIV & UC4 aswell :D

I'm not likely to get a PSV unless it actually has ..a title.. that.. like.. you know is a direct sequel to something on the PS3 which wouldn't make any sense in the first place (eg God of War IV on the PSV only XD):
I'm not much of a handheld gamer! Pokemon when I was a child on Gameboy is where my memories begin.. and end haha.
Anyway I'd say get it when it becomes cheap man, you're missing out on more of Drakes adventures! I'm sure the system will see more Uncharted games

Lol! Aldro keep it up on the gfx thread. Keep on pestering him about those links and he will fold and admit defeat although it might take a while because he will stick to it and will back pedal or will change the goal post.
I keep providing facts on how the world wide webb and magazines are seeing things. For 4 years the PS3 has had the most awarded games in the graphical departement. That is ALL im saying, but he knows this fact would undermine his own opinion, which is that Forza is on top and what not, so he keeps making up bullshit arguments and even deceits such as lies in order to make himself sleep better at night.
Thats fucking sad.

I just felt more blown away, overall, by God of War III than anything else.....besides Uncharted 3, and to a lesser extent, Heavy Rain. I think aliasing is what keeps God of War III ahead for me, no console game tops it (with Alan Wake being its only true competition, I felt).
