Seems most people dont think its a big issue.... and I get the point where once in action it probably doesnt matter as much.
I think it seems very obvious though, like your giveing up alot of image quality if your getting the switch version to me.

Well for me, cinematics are the least interesting things in fighting games

Big difference, and no, they shouldn't have to lowered FPS to 30 for quality, for fighting games it's always performance over quality for better responsive time.

It's not bad at all, i may go pick up the switch version even i have a PS4.

Considering that it's aiming for more FPS over resolution, I think that was honestly the better choice to make. Having a game at both a lower res and lower fps is a no win situation, but at least aiming for higher than 30 is more ideal.

I would honestly hope that next gen aims for 60 across the board, instead of something as paltry and small in scope as 8k res (which we know won't always be native anyway, due to this gen relying heavily on Checker)

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

It's a big difference obviously, but people will not paying attention especially on small Switch screen , but for dock mode it will be bad indeed. It's a 3D side scroller fighting games and most people will not paying attention and will be focusing more on frame rates and performance. The one who ported are smart, they sacrifice graphic for performance gain. Fighting games is all about performance not graphic fidelity.

Seems like a perfectly viable and good looking primary option to me. Looks really good and no, they should not have aimed for 30 fps. Honestly without the PS4 version running right next to it, even docked mode will look good in action.

The PS4 version definitely does look better overall, but for those who would like the option of portability the Switch version is a good version to have as well. All depends on the needs of the gamer. I for one, will be buying the Switch version.

Fighting games are required to run at 60fps. 30fps is not an option for this type of game, and would be immediately disregarded if it was 30fps.  And it's not just for attacks feeling more "fluid."  You can't translate an attack that moves at 17 frames start up in 60fps to 30fps. If it's 8 frames in 30fps, the time is the same as 16 frames at 60.  therefore it's faster, and if it's 9 frames at 30fps, it's 18 frames at 60, which would make it slower.  Button inputs would be read slower, and would make the game feel unresponsive compared to other versions.

30 fps is the worst thing you can do to the game.  Only the casuals who would only play it for a week would touch it.  Online would be dead, and it wouldn't be worth owning.  Wouldn't even be able to use it for practice on on the go, because the game would be so different.

There will never be a fighting game that runs 60 on one platform and 30 on another.  It will never, ever happen again.  The only time it happened before was on 4th gen consoles and handhelds anyway.

When did Mario Kart 11 come out? Why did they skip Mario Kart 9 and 10? Why is it also on the PS4? WHAT IS GOING ON?!

I finally will be able to play Mario Kart on PS4.

Nintendo now realises that they need Sony to keep surviving.

The jump on the title number is odd, but a 4K Mario Kart would make a huge difference (if Nintendo has the know how to work with 4k graphics) and bring so much more audience to the franchise, probably double or triple it. Playing Mario Kart on the Switch is going to be a joke now.

It's like Monster Hunter, a true jump into the current generation gaming.

Thank you Nintendo.

Next, could be Zelda and Mario. Zelda truly deservers a current generation machine to modernise it.

God bless You.

My Total Sales prediction for PS4 by the end of 2021: 110m+

When PS4 will hit 100m consoles sold: Before Christmas 2019

There were three ravens sat on a tree / They were as blacke as they might be / The one of them said to his mate, Where shall we our breakfast take?

They couldn't make it 30fps because it would change game mechanics.

In order for it to be 30fps they would have to built it with 30fps in mind from the start for Switch.

Saying that, I got the game on PS4, only because I was SOOOO hoping the damn game would fit fully on the Switch game cart. Waiting for someone who actually bought it to confirm how bad it is as the box doesn't say anything about needing extra downloads (like you see with some games, which I think is a requirement by Nintendo?)

I love how you took my reaction and ran with it :)
