TLJ was so bad it pretty much killed all my hype for this series.
Also Rey isn't a strong female character. But that was the least of all problems the film had.
Feminist garbage crap I tell yas! I am driving over to Disney HQ to throw eggs at their windows. Who's with me?!

Dude. What? Why? Microsoft has nothing to do with the film, dammit! It's not their fault!

Rey's more than a strong female, she's hyper-capable. That's not a good thing. |
She's a typical Mary Sue. Considering they're bringing back Luke and Palpatine, instead of sticking with Rian Johnson's vision, just shows they know they fucked up. That and they have no vision of their own. This will probably be fan service to the millionth degree. I'm skipping.

You could say that bringing the Emperor is a good idea to end the Skywalker saga, but I also take it like an acknowledgement that they completely dropped the ball with the mediocre "villains" in those two movies.

Rey's character completely mocked the whole idea of a hero improving, training, and learning to become a Jedi. The way Wonder Rey would just produce Jedi techniques out of thin air completely dismantled the tradition of the Jedi, which is the core of Star Wars.
Seems like they just wanted to make this Rey character look good in every aspect instead of focusing in creating her journey towards becoming great, completely disregarding what Star Wars is all about.

You mean the guy who was all-powerful, and could sense and connect two people from across different galaxies, but didn't notice a rusty lightsaber rattling right next to him? While screaming "He will never betray me!" |
Or Kylo Ren who senses Han Solo when he arrives to the Star Killer base from miles away but then can't sense him when he is 15 feet away on the bridge scene,

My coworker was so excited over it that he wanted to share it with me. I pretended like I cared.
