Erm, that was a bit unexpected for me.

You should take gamespot JRPG reviews as a grain of salt after all they underrate all JRPGs lol this game is getting 7s and 8s from all the other sites.

Hmm, as with all games, I'll try it myself before I decide. Its not a terrific score but that doesn't mean it can't be a decent game (and decent games are about all I'm hoping for after this gen which has been filled to the brim with major letdowns).

when many of you were LOL'ing at 2 negative FFXIII impressions saying WKC will be better than it, I told all of you its reception in Japan was very average.....

ok not many but a select few.

BUT I''ve still imported it as I'm getting it for the online mode & as its better than SO4.

Honestly looks about right to me from videos and other impressions.
Gameplay is just too slow for the action oriented gamer these days.
I am sure the old RPG fans will like this game though, however the mainstream 'press' will probably bash it for being old school. Personally a game like this doesn't hold a candle next to Demon Soul's but I am a different kind of gamer. If you like the old school RPG then try the game for yourself, don't just listen to some 'professional reviewer' give his biased opinion.

From what I heard his brother didn't like it, they have similar tastes so he thinks he won't like it.

RPG was very hyped for FFXIII, so if he is saying that just from his brothers impressions I am very disappointed in him & his fake hype

if he actually got round to playing it eventually I apologize.

A game voted "best game of all time" by famitsu readers & voted 2nd best game of 2009 by dengeki readers isn't shite.

FFXIII will be fine, don't worry about it.

Gamespot gave FF9, below a 9 back in the day & FF9 became the highest rated FF game ever on metacritic

so this WKC review could be an anomaly

so don't be surprised if FF13 gets something in the 8 range from them

Yes because what I consider a good RPG vs what they consider a good  RPG differs and so thier opinion is not valid to me. 

I read most of the review and one of the things they knocked WKC for was the weak story quality and easy combat vs enemies.  Demon Souls doesn't even have a valid story and unless you play it a certain way, combat is broken and become a sadomasochistic relationship with the game.  I like a challenge but come on...

Man I cant wait to get this game. Will be doing so later on today... Seeing how i played and loved Stella Deux on the PS2, I dont see why this review should keep me from buying it LoL. If people had it as one of their must buys then they will still buy it just like me. Im doing the same with Heavy Rain.
