I have a random question,

Is there a lot of CGI scenes? 60 minutes? Less? More?

They are usually around 4-5 minutes so far. Nothing to big. I wish their was a 60 min CGI though! They are all breathtaking.

Wow I love this game!

I didn't find it so bad. I mostly got 5 stars for the better part of the chapter. I basically used three ravagers and timed my attacks so that the gauge filled up quickly without ever resetting.

I'm loving the battle systems. It's both incredibly strategic and engaging.

My magic never did much damage...dunno why

that bit wasn't too great for me :(

But yeah AMAZING BATTLE SYSTEM!!

Anyways. I beat Chapter 8 around 6 AM today. It was excellent. A lot of stuff happens here. Battles are really fun and the boss battle at the end of the chapter was tough. I died 3 times before I finally beat him.

There's a moderate quantity, but they're usually pretty short. Although, sometimes you don't notice the differences because I think CGI is happening and then I get floored some more.

Final Fantasy XIII is divided into chapters, so it would be good if people could rate each chapter as they are playing along. Ofcourse with your rating a small written "review" for the chapter without spoilers would be great.

In some scnes I swear the mixed in game & CGI

so they had certain things moving in CGI...but the characters in their in game models

Yeah, those robots are resistant to both magic and physical attacks. Your best bet is getting them staggered as quickly as possible. The easiest way to to do in this case seemed to be using three ravagers. Only you have to be careful, without a commander, that gauge will will drain very fast. So be sure to time your attacks between your other two characters.

I'm actually quite surprised though. I'm enjoying the battles even much more than I did with FFXII.

in chapter 4 now...glad the difficulty is finally starting to ramp up
