Forums - Gaming Discussion - No Towns in Final Fantasy XIII Because They Are Too Much Work.

for folks saying FFX didn't have towns

Besaid Island
Killika Island
Macalania
Zanarkand
Luca

At first glance it doesn't sound like much but if we look at the scale of places like Luca I think it more than makes up for numbers.

Is there anyone who imported this on this site? O.o

I have no doubt in my mind when this game releases, its still going to be one of the best JRPG's of this Generation, just because it doesn't have some things, that doesn't make it a bad game at all. There aren't that many JRPG's that give you an experience quite like Final Fantasy XIII. I enjoyed the hell out of the Japanese Version, and I will definitely be buying this game again on the 9th of March.

It is Final Fantasy, and Final Fantasy always raises the bar and takes the JRPG genre to another level and that is exactly what XIII will do.

FFXIII isn't a JRPG. its an RPG.

I know Square Enix already said its not a JRPG, but in its own category. It looks and plays like a JRPG and thats all that matters.

Odd. Future. Wolf. Gang. Kill. Em. All. OFWGKTA Don't give a fuck!

Fuck Steve Harvey. FREE EARL!

Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the GREATEST game EVER made!!!

I'd take a bullet for Square-Enix!

Everyone tries to make their game sounds unique but for the most part it's just the same when you strip it down.

I have read MANY beyond MANY import impressions on this game. People are saying that the towns are alright. and that they fit the linear aspect of the game. Some people will like it and some people will not. If you are a story heavy person while enjoying a really good battle system then this game is for you. If you like exploration and lots and lots of side quests that aren't hunts. Then play something else.

I'm interested in the story but not keen on the battle system but we'll see.

Indeed, but there's a valid reason to be pissed about the lack of towns, so don't be upset that people are turned off by it. A lot of FF games are completely built around this style of exploration and discovery, and RPGs in general have developed a repuation based on character interaction.

Battle System is all a matter opinion since i've heard complaints. however i agree with you as far as story goes.

Exactly.

Think' you're the first person to put it the best way round' here instead of trying to force people to buy it or hate it, heh' good one on ya'.

WKC looks very explorationy. I'm picking that beast up on tuesday! :)

Good, you know that someone can have a different opinion. Now you can stop attacking people calling them "haters" just because they are disappointed with something in the game.

I will defend FFXIII just like I did before because I know that it will be a good game (nothing less than "good") but this news disappointed me a lot and I am not acting like a hater, I am just complaining because I already bought this game for my x360 (pre-order), so I have the full right to complain. Exploration is part of the RPG genre for me. I won't cancel my pre-order (and it wouldn't stop me from buying this game) but I am disappointed with SE.

Also, nobody is saying that this game is bad or will be bad, we are just talking about an aspect of the game.

This is a forum, so we can share our opinions, you already gave your opinion and you explained why it's good for you. I think you should let people say what they want now.
