Forums - Gaming Discussion - No Towns in Final Fantasy XIII Because They Are Too Much Work.

Im sorry but this is a major downer for me on the game i have played many jrpgs and western rpgs and i enjoy the towns, the break fron constant fighting. For Rest and Relaxation.

These are all 360 games i played with towns

- Infinte Undiscovery (Beautiful Towns)
- Magna Carta 2 (Beautiful Towns)
- Last Remnant (different, but still townsish)
- LOST ODYSSEY (Beautiful Towns)
- Blue Dragon (Beauitful Towns)
- Tales Of Vespira (Beauitful Towns)
- Elder Scrolls Oblivion
- Mass Effect
- Mass Effect 2
- Fable 2

Even Assassins Creed's 2 Towns had Merchants, etc

Its a great thing to have in RPG's and expected in JRPG's something that will be missed in FFXIII and i wont be buying it straight away i guess i'll wait till a bit later.

But towns are everywhere in almost every Role Playing Game even the DQIX one has towns and thats the DS.

Towns are apart of the key to me especially that make RPG's what they are.

( On a side note, im new hows everyone :) )

Around the Network

Is this due to the 10 hours of cutscenes? Why would they drop towns when they add so much flavor

Man, That's the reason why i don't like Final Fantasy after 9, The Devs at Squeenix have gotten lazy, There's no sence of exploration w/o towns and even a overworld. Sometimes HD can be a bad idea.

Lol at all hate, people don't understand how hard it is to dev a game.

Well tough, then the dev's should be in a different line of work.
