I use walkthroughs quite often TBH, because I'm just not very good at games and I get stuck rather easily. I find IGN's walkthroughs to be really good, also a lot of their written reviews as well. I'm not sure why everyone hates them, I'm guessing it's the Halo effect though, they got popular enough to be hated now.

I dislike IGN because of the blatant Wii hate they have over there.... can't read a review of a wii game without wondering why the guy even reviews wii in the first place....

IGN sort of has a problem with reviewing Wii games. According to Alexa, their Ps3 section gets nearly three times as many hits as their Wii section, as does their X360 section. 
In fact, the Wii section is only 50% larger than the Ps2 section.
When one section triples the other, it's natural for a site to get some bias towards the larger one. If you want IGN to become more "balanced", you should try to give them hits on their Wii section, rather than to avoid to.  

I think the only disappointment here is not using GameFAQS instead.

Shame on you, amp. Not for the fact you needed a walkthrough, but because you went to IGN for help... there are so many other sources on the interwebs you could've used. I don't know how you sleep at night. Shame shame shame.
