To clarify a possible misunderstanding that I think has been made, this wouldn't include like a "HD console" chart option? It would just combine the sales of multiplats in the overall charts.

Yes, particularly if you it then resorted them by the new numbers. So you could see the highest selling games over x period of time, without having to add up the multiplatform titles separately and then re-order everything yourself to get the true number.
