EA should port Extraction to the HD systems... So it can fail?

You come across as some paranoid emo kid who feels the need to defend anything and everything Nintendo has, or does.

It's getting boring.

Oh, and no... They shouldn't. HD consoles already had the "test" game. It was called "Dead Space". That's why they are also getting "Dead Space 2".

If you left this out your post could have been a simple ad hominem, you didn't need to undermine your own position in the process. Calling Dead Space a test game would be like saying 3D Dot Game Heroes is just like The Conduit.

The only reason i said that was because of how DS:E was classed as a test game.

you come across this thread as some paranoid emo kid doing the opposite than him.

Who's right then?

The difference is i don't spend a great deal of my time on this site complaining about 3rd parties and how they don't understand my platform of choice.

I am not saying that he is that but i am defently saying you are when it comes to Sony so I dont think you should be making those comments to others.

You mean like, when i said Halo was better than Killzone. Or when i only said i would be renting Killzone 3. Or maybe even saying Sony are dumb for the price. Or maybe even saying Sony can't advertise? Oh... And just to add to that, even talking about (and liking) games on other consoles!?

Um, Carl, the developer themselves called it a test game.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

Well, this game's at 210k sales right now, and while that isn't a huge success, it could crawl it's way up to 300k eventually if it isn't discontinued.

Not a huge success, but certainly not as awful as the opening numbers led it to be made out to be.

Though, as with Chinatown Wars, I'd love to see it ported to PS360 to shut up the "this game bombed because the Wii only sells casual games!11," but somehow I doubt EA would port it over, and moreover, I doubt that would really change anything anyhow.

Why port a mediocre game that would be guaranteed to bomb? It would be a waste. If they wanted to port anything it'd have to actually be good.

We know that, but ask any game developer and you'll learn that it was an AAA core game guaranteed to sell a million on the HD consoles.

Ok, but you were also trying to make Dead Space it's equivalent. One was a test, and was called so by it's developer. The other was a high budget AAA game in a proven genre. There was no "if our game doesn't sell there is no core market on HD consoles", there was no strange mismatching of genres, there was just a well made game in a proven genre. One game was hyped by gamers until it's release, the other was hyped until they realised it was a 'guided first person experience'.

@ Carl

"The difference is i don't spend a great deal of my time on this site complaining about 3rd parties and how they don't understand my platform of choice."

So what? You like to comment on PS3's numbers when they're below or above the X360 and not everyone gives a shit about it.

I don't tell you to stop commenting on PS3 sales do you?

Jesus Holly Marrie Santana Christ.

It's not because the Wii is my platform of choice (I also like the games on the other systems, and will get those systems when I can afford them). I want the Wii to have the support it deserves on principle. If you can't understand that, then you only show you don't understand the concept.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

I doubt that EA's business decisions will be based on the OP's wanting to prove a point. Porting it would be plain stupid, if they want to waste money they could rather (and probably will) keep on destroying the NFS franchise until no one wants to buy.

"I doubt that EA's business decisions will be based on the OP's wanting to prove a point."

What makes you think I wasn't doing this merely hypothetically?
