Forums - Sony - Dust void PS3 warranty?

Just a fun update on their shitty customer service: he recorded himself trapping a peon CSR.

I guess the story it isn't a lie like some people suggested.

I really wonder how much dust has this dude gotten on his PS3 for this to be such a huge deal.

Probably not that much dust as one might suspect. Changing quotes suck, don't do that. BTW how daft do you have to be to say that dust doesn't void warranty and later say that if SOMEONE ELSE says that it's too dusty then the warranty must be voided. I mean Ive basically left the guy dumbstruck with all the logical deducting.

Deep into the darkness pearing

Long i stood there

Wondering

Fearing

Doubting.

Even if his PS3 was filled with dust, any decent repair center would handle it.

Repairing a PS3: $1000 at most (in case it needs to be replaced by a new unit)
Having a burned customer trumpet his story all over the internet just because your customer service sucks: Priceless

^ how true. BTW changing a quote sucks big time.

Well Sony is known for pretty crappy customer service... with it's Europeon Customer Service being the worst of them all bordering on criminally bad. So, most likely it infact doesn't void the warranty and it's just the jackholes they hired at constumer service beign jackholes.

I worked with high end warranty work for HP.

NOTHING voids a warranty, there ARE repairs however that fall outside the warranty.

Like, Filthy internal components

Why would dust affect the warranty?

Dust wouldnt, nothing affects the warranty

Warranties cannot be "voided"

Not all repairs are covered under warranty
