Forums - Gaming Discussion - Just finished Dragon Age:Origins, incredible game, the best RPG this Gen !?

I liked Bioware's older games better. And the best part of DA:O is that reminscense of those.

I'm playing it now, probably just over half of the way through, and I am not loving it in the same way as I loved Mass Effect, though the game was designed for a PC, and you can tell that the PS3 version is not as good

Yeah same for me, definately the WRPG of this gen so far.

I also liked Alistair most of the supporting characters, much more than Morrigan, even though Claudia Black is my fav voice actor. I'm currently doing my second playthrough with the collector's edition bonuses and return to Ostagar. Also I'm looking forward community mod work and new datadisc.

MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising

Fallout 3 > Oblivion > Demons Souls > Dragon Age IMO

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

Yeah it's a great game. But best RPG this gen? I have a different opinion.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

I would say its my third favorite RPG of this generation

Second goes to Valkyria chronicles for being one of the few JRPG of this generation to innovate as well as being a truly great game

Fallout takes the cake due to its massive size as well as intuative combat system.

PSWii

I disliked Allistair, first i thought he was a bit of an annoying looser that's scared of everything. Then that douchebag just left me after the Landsmet.

Mass Effect 2 sure its going to be sweet, especially if they fix few issues that the original had.

edit: Demon Soul's looks great , but i doubt i will have a chance of playing it, since ill probably never get a PS3 (broke)

Best rpg this gen? Hell no, try Demon's Souls pal.

I still think The Witcher stands head and shoulders above but I did enjoy Dragon Age. I'm afraid the magic of the Baldur's Gate era has forever faded though, Bioware are going downhill imo (yes, despite Mass Effect 2).

The replay value is great, the game is awesome, I think everybody agrees on that point. Somehow, the combat system is a bit hectic and I had issues with the camera and the inventory.
I really hated the DLC implementation in this game, too intrusive.

I finished DA:O, but I still prefer the Witcher
