The Thread spefically ask about 3 RPG's releasing on PS3... nobody gives damn about your "relevant variables" and it definitely doesnt give you any right to hijack somebodies thread and make it your own, your off topic.. simple as that

You don't think DQVI will have any potential impact?  I'm not so sure myself, I think it could really go either way...


look the thread title it is for the 3 jrpgs releasing jan 28 in japan for PS3 not 360 or DS

My point is though, these games aren't releasing in a vacuum.  They're releasing against the top RPG brand on the top platform, that might be having just a teensy effect...


NOT AT ALL if someone owns a ps3 he/she will buy a ps3 game because he owns a ps3 and not a DS(even if everyone owns it) IF DQ6 was on ps3 then it would have overshadowed ALL 3 but it is on DS

I thought the same with FFXIII and Tales of Graces... the reality of the market seems to have turned out differently though.  That's why I'm a little apprehensive.

Also, pretty much everyone who plays RPGs likely has a DS in Japan.  It'd be like being an RPG fan and not having a SFC or PS2 back in the day.

Wii and PS3 are different consoles even it happend around 4 mill Wii and only owners that must don 't own a ps3 according to sales didn 't buy  ToG either way and DS is portable and i blame you from driving me off topic

i was banned in a thread that said 360 games releasing in 2010 and i posted none can beat GT5 in sales and banned for it you are doing exactly the same

EoE will be on top...prolly around 115k.

Personally though, I'm looking forward to AT III the most and hope it can hit 70k but doubt it.

LR will be last by a long shot--25k.

That's not the conclusion that Sinobi and the JP sales brigade came to.  They pretty much said that FFXIII ate Graces lunch.  

Anyway, sorry for ruffling any feathers by bringing in the DQVI factor.  I'll try to keep it to the PS3 games.  

 

I also think I may have slightly overestimated now though.  New numbers!

EoE: 110-130k 1st week (180-200k lifetime)

AT3: 45-55k 1st week (85-100k lifetime)

LR: 15-25k (35-45k lifetime)

I'm not saying "no one can beat DQVI", I'm saying a huge release in the same genre may impact sales of the games we're talking about.  It just seems like a bad day to release imo, I think these 3 games would probably be better served getting delayed a few weeks or maybe even months.

If there was a topic about sales of multiple 360 racers releasing the same day, and GT5 was brought up as releasing the same day and likely to impact sales, I wouldn't consider that "off topic".

Anyway, I'm pretty much done with the issue.
