I will get it at launch. I usually adopt systems early so that I can be wowed by the new graphics and stuff.

My old systems never die though, they are always played, every once in a while.

I'll wait until they get a big game that I want or the wii games I want start disappering. By the time I upgrade. There would be a large library to choose from and maybe a lower price. Bacially how long the wii lasts is how long until I get it

I wait until it has 2-3 games I really want. @Wii launch it was Zelda + Wii Sports + Excite Truck + the knowledge of various upcoming games like RE4/Metroid Prime 3 and so on.

It will have to be pretty special for me to buy it at launch.... I wasn't planning on entering this generation so early but the Wii pulled me in (and it was 3 months after launch that I got that)

i'll probably wait a few years. not for any specific game, though. for a price drop, and discounted (or "player's choice") games.

At launch. Or for Christmas.
