Hi,
I need help on which RPG's to get for either the 360 or/and PS3.I don't want a debate on what constitutes an RPG, I don't care if it's strategy, turn or action based, Western or Japanese as long as it's an RPG.
For 360 I already have the following (all amazing)-
- Mass Effect
- Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
- Fallout 3
- Fabe II
- Lost Odyssey
For PS3 I have the following-
- Valkyria Chronicles (Reason I'm in love with RPGs again)
Now in the past I really liked JRPGs but this gen I have been falling in love with WRPGs for the first time and I'm very much looking forward to Mass Effect 2 this month (OMG THIS MONTH!!!).
However LO and now VC has made me want to play more JRPGs and I was wondering if my fellow VG Chartz RPG fans could help me decide as there are a lot of them out there and I know that many of them are average to bad so to those of you who like RPGs please can you help me choose wisely.
I've heard the following are worth playing if fans of the genre and have been improved on the later PS3 release....is it worth getting the PS3 versions or are they actually worse?
- Tales of Vesperia
- Eternal Sonata
- Star Ocean IV
The 360 has a number of exclusive JRPGs but of varying quality
- Blue Dragon- From the makers of LO a game I really liked...will I like BD as well?
- Last Remnant- Heard mixed reviews.....shall I bother or save myself the hassle?
- Infinite Undiscovery- Ditto
Another one that interests me is Borderlands- I heard it's an FPS RPG with a much longer and more interesting single player campaign than the average FPS. Is it one worth bothering with as it looks really interesting.
On the PS3 I heard Demons Soul is well worth it. What about Disgaea 3 and Folklore? Can you think of anymore?
As for WRPGs is Risen and Dragons Age worth it on console? I don't have a gaming PC. Any others?
Time is a factor for me as I work full time and only get about 3-5 hours per night from Mon-Fri and of course I have the weekends.
Anyone's help would be much appreciated.
Perhaps a Top Ten list would suffice.
