Forums - Sony Discussion - Why Heavy Rain is a 9/10 game

I just got through reading this article. My favorite piece: (This is very much a 'Sony game'). Not only do I agree that it is, but I'm glad they mention that. Give better insight into Sony's tastes when it comes to sales. They prefer these artsy, story-driven games that don't do 10-20 million in sales, not even 5. They just prefer the top-notch quality, which as a gamer is most important.

How can this feel like a Sony game and at the same time be something very different on PS3 ? (as declared by the same guy in this itw and in the review)

Another element of contradiction : this is the first Quantic Dream game on any of Sony's platforms... (lol inside)

Why does it say "18" when Heavy Rain is a 15 from BBFC?

That rating is probably for the demo disk that comes with the magazine.

Unless there's content on that disc which isn't on the Blu-ray, that would be a little odd.

Why do you even bother?

I know he's not directly trolling Heavy Rain, but it's close enough for me. I'll hold him down and you kick him Dreb. . . CGI!

It sounds interesting! I think I'll have to play this game, assuming it has a great script.

Play my LittleBigPlanet level: Mystic Runner. Thanks!

The most intriguing thing about this game is that I may enjoy it more than the next FPS/TPS/Platformer that gets 9/10

Simply because it will be a different experience, one I have probably never had. Not many games come out in a generation where you can really claim that they will be like something you have never played.

If only it was releasing in January or April, March has completely destroyed my ability to buy more games!!!

but hey I can still buy it in June, besides I'll be contributing to the legs this game has huh

If gamer's find this most important, then why wouldn't it sell very well? I sense a pinch of elitism.

Totally understand.

Blame yourself & kantor

& Metalgearsolid_4ever/god of war 3_4ever

for convincing me to buy GOW3

if you hadn't have done that heavy rain would've been brought in March as soon as FF13 was completed

But I could still just not buy GOW3 & get Heavy Rain instead, depends......depends
