Mass Effect is a TPS RPG, not an FPS RPG.

Why? I've played Deus Ex and Deus Ex Invisible Wars and still felt that it didn't give me quite as good of an experience as Hellgate London.
Clearly Deus Ex is your preference, but it doesn't have to be so for everyone ;)

Don't confuse my opinion with your facts!
Anyway, Deus Ex really isn't for everyone, but when pepole talk about RPG (as in "role-playing-game") the game that fits the most is Deus Ex, since it has both quite deep costumization and an AMAZING plot that follows it, plus many ways to experience the game.
Hellgate is a game like Diablo, that while it stands as a RPG because of the costumization, it doesn't hold a candle to Deus Ex's plot.
