There's only two versions:

Monster Hunter 3G (3DS) - Released in 2011

Monster Hunter 3G HD (Wii U) - Releasing on Wii U launch

Same game, except for HD and online on Wii U.

Guess a 39/40 was enough for japanese gamers. Althought, yesterday was looking on youtube the final boss of every campaing, and it wasn't bad. In fact looked like a solid game.
