It's not a fixed correlation, just an indicator. The points are preorder points at a certain store. There can be skews easily especially between games that are heavily preordered with respect to others. For DQ the correlation is usually, for every 1 point --> 1k unit sold. Now it's not fixed so 500 points can indicate 400-600k FW... 

Was I clear? :P

Basically this is just one store, not the whole of Japan :P

COMG! is not a big chain store in Japan I wouldn't be surprised if 1p = 1 preordered copy.

DQX +2, slow weekend indeed. And Rune Factory enters again the charts.
