it was a boring 2009 up to september. 2010 if anything has had better releases for both consoles up to september, but probably with a more quieter holidays. 

This year it's kinda like GT5 usual PS3 steady releases Vs DKCR kirby mario collection usual casual holiday titles..

plus 3DS release vs the PSP resurgance?  that alone beats the hell outa 2009

It's nice to see at least one region where PSP gets sales it deserves for the library it has.

Even then I see PSP sales in EU and NA seeing a normal downward trend that old systems see....its been out for more than 5 years, its quite expected imo, it is really no DS, that was clear ages ago.

No no you are right, outside japan the PSP deserves its decline. In japan though the lineup is phenomenal for a system practically dead. half its holidays sales will be in japan this year, if not more
