you do kno a big item that comes on day 1 makes it to the top right? Like Bundle 3DS/A new color 3DS/ Last of Us/etc are #1 for a day or 2 cuz everybody pre-orders it! If it stays in the top 10 for more than a week then its impressive, just saying

Tomodachi looks like the next big 3DS game. Because a year with Dragon Quest, Monster Hunter, and Pokemon desperately needs another notable game.

Wow, SMT4 is doing well, and still over 50 days from release. I hope it sells really well -- the series hasn't been a huge seller before, but then again it's never had a main series release on a Nintendo handheld before, has it?

Exactly, only the big items(not every color in fact), so its good for a new IP as toukiden

Tomodachi Collection really is building up momentum. Quite surprising seeing as how most hits on the DS (Brain Training, NintenDogs) really fell flat for the DS. Hopefully this does pretty well.

Nice to see SMT IV build up those points!

I think Tomodachi will do well simply based on the fact that 3DS owners in Japan have few new games to buy as of now, and the 3DS consumer base has shown a clear affinity for the slow life simulation genre, as demonstrated by Animal Crossing, and to a lesser extent the success of Fantasy Life. I don't think it will do as well as Animal Crossing though.

SMT: Strange Journey on DS was sort of mainline (it had "Shin Megami Tensei" in the title, though it wasn't numbered) and sold 130-140k. Nocturne/SMT3 sold 245k. I wouldn't compare SJ and Nocturne though because SJ was a first person dungeon crawler and not numbered. Closest comparison would be SMT If... but we don't have sales for that.

I think SMT4 is likely to do 200k+.

I'd be willing to bet SMT4 will outsell Nocturne, at least in Japan. I think the franchise is more well-known now after the success of the Persona subseries, and the announcement of SMT X Fire Emblem has raised a few eyebrows.
