It's crazy how the franchise is not popular in Japan anymore.

It hasn't been that popular in Japan for a long time. (since SNES)

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

For your information, there isn't any "collector's edition" for GT 5 in Japan, but their normal edition comes with a 200 pages book, like the european "collector's edition" ( at least at launch ). And the PS3 bundle comes with this book too. Lucky japense. ^^

Right now GT 5 is the #1 on Amazon.co.jp, it was like #300 three days ago, I guess people were just waiting for a release date.

It's in Top 100 for 14 days based on the Bestseller list on 08/21
