Thanks jman, I am totally with you, even though I have been waiting for CoD4 ever since they ended the MP Beta on me, I am just getting tired of straight shooters. The online is fun, but I really want a game with adventure and story driven gameplay. Im downloading it right now, so hopefully I agree with you, and choose Uncharted, I want it soooo bad, we shall see.

Dag I'm 18%....I can't wait till I play this game. WOOT WOOT!!!!

I like Warhawk too!!!!! Its freaking tight!!!!!!!!

The demo is amazing. The way the water ripples when you walk through it, the numerous leaves and bushes, and the amazing animations all combine to give a quite immersive experience.

The gameplay is good as well. The aiming has been improved considerably from what I saw in the early videos. Hopping between cover is cool, and it's really fun exploring to try and figure out where to go next.

I can't wait to get my hands on some platforming elements in the final game.

@W29: You got Warhawk!?! We must play!

Excellence!

Aiming and the shots needed for kills are fixed. The environments are beautiful and every character animates realistically. No hiccups, screen tearing, frame rate drops, etc.

Gameplay is really tight. Reminds a whole lot of RE:4 with tighter controls, faster and smarter enemies, and quicker pace.

The controls work fine. Kinda took me a while to get used the roll and dodge with circle though. Finally, I LOVE that the game isn't linear. You really feel like your exploring a jungle. Although the demo is three times longer than the Heavenly Sword demo, it is still too short!

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

For a moment I thought you were doing a Heavenly Sword joke there ;)

Wow, this game is amazing. The visuals are AMAZING!!! I absolutely love the gameplay, and the cinemas are great. The best part of it all is, my mom walked through the door tonight with a copy of COD4 in her hands for my 360, so looks like the doors are opened for me to go ahead and jump on this one, WAHOOO! I love life!

well, i played it at a friends house. pretty good, but is rather hard. also, its only a demo so the real thing will probably be better.

xbox 360, ps2 are my consoles

end of generation predictions: wii 106 million Xbox 360 59 million PS3 57 million

Yes, this demo rocks. If you want to just focus on the graphics, it's got some very beautiful graphics. Hell, I was aiming at some guys while next to an object and the camera zoomed in a little farther than normal and even more detail on Nathan could be seen.

The aiming felt a little loose and a bit difficult to hit though and I noticed that it would take about 3 shots (not counting the one shot headshot of course) with the pistol and you're not able to load up on a lot of ammo (40 pistol rounds is all you can carry, at least on easy).

It takes a second to get used to the movement with the quality animations they've been putting into the game, but my second time through the demo felt a lot better now that I've gotten more used to the controls.

Ok, I got the demo. With the overload of the PSN with both the firmware 2.0 and Drake's it took me 5 hours!

Was it worth it? YES

The good:
- Unbelievable light/shadowing. Trees casts shadows on everything, even on bushes, etc. Gun fire also lights up
- Awesome graphics
- Drake's cloths DO get wet. They take some time to dry up. Not great but shows the detail Naughty Dog put into the game
- The cover system is the best I've ever played on any 3rd person game. Better than Gears of War.
- AI is awesome. I played Hard and got my ass kicked pretty often. This on the first level, rofl
- Some interesting bits I noticed from the AI:
- Enemies react to where you shoot them. I shot a guy in the leg and he kept holding the leg until I killed him. Would even walk like holding it. Shot another in the chest and his hand went to the EXACT spot I shot him at. Pretty awesome IK animations.
- Enemies are very smart taking cover and popping in other places or running for better cover
- They also come down to you and shoot/melee you when you stay in the same place too long
- I shot an enemy that was going to throw me a grenade and he reacted to the shot and threw the grenade up in the air. Ended up hurting himself and killing his buddy. Used that same tactic later on to kill to 2 nasty dudes that where not letting me hit them at all.

The bad:
- Just like Ratchet's demo the frame rate has some issues (tearing). Hope that they fixed them since the demo (Ratchet release runs at a solid 60FPS but the demo had some tearing and frame rate drops when the buildings where collapsing)
- Throwing grenades takes a little getting used to

Going back to play... but as far as I can see it's definitely shaping up to be the best PS3 title yet. This including Ratchet and CoD4. Yes, it looks that good.
