Sony released a statement earlier regarding the delay of GT5 release in Japan. It could be purely marketing reasons but could it be that PD is implementing GEM support for the title which causes the delay?
Yamauchi was saying PD can release GT5 whenever they want last year. So why didn't they do it? It's probably because of new features. We already know the damage, the weather, the Nascars etc but maybe there is one we don't know about - the GEM support. It's something new that Yamauchi had no experience about so it would take time for him to put the use of it in GT5 and up to his standard (since we all know he is a perfectionist). Also, with GEM launch this spring, what could be a bigger launch title for GEM than GT5?
Thoughts?
