KHBBS had a PSP3k bundle. I'd be surprised if PSP wasn't number 1 for the week in hardware.

huh?

how could a bundle of only 3K units put PSP on top, 3K is nothing compared to the gap between it & DS/wii last week

PSP3000 is not the same as 3000 PSPs.

oh right he meant a PSP 3000 bundle

I thought he meant a bundle of 3,000 PSP's in quantity

If the pattern for Japan last year follows into this year then PS3 sales should still be around the 60k-70k mark. If it goes below that then it will probably mean sales for hardware will be down on the same wee last year. Last week's numbers saw an increase by 4k over the same week last year. So for the first full week it will be very interesting. Last week saw a total of 644k hardware sold which is great. In 2009 it went from 640k to 263k for the first week of january. Which is a 377k decrease or down 59%. I think Japan has a very good chance of starting 2010 up on the same week last year. If it doesn't then it will likely be another bad year in japan for hardware.

KHBBS has a shot at 1 million in Japan with this opening but I think it would fall just short. Would sell more than Dissidia to become the best selling non-MH PSP game in Japan though.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

Birth by sleep is a huge hit...

I know its unlikely but, I hope it ends up with HUGE legs.

Big drop for Zelda

Currently playing on PS3: God of War III

Currently playing on Xbox360: Final Fantasy XIII

Currently playing on NDS: Chrono Trigger

problem with zelda is the price appears to be collapsing. Somehow they overshipped the game even though first week was in line with phantom hourglass. Zelda is not a franchise on the rise, i don't know why retailers thought they had to order more cpies than phantom hourglass.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

BBs did 446k.

Better than KH1. Much worse than KH2. Worse than Crisis Core. Worse than Dissidia.

Just for comparison.

FF13 tracking almost identicle but showing possibly better legs than FF X-2 in Japan. FF X-2 went on to sell 2.4+ Million LTD, id say thats pretty good considering early famistu LT estimates and predictions.

KH2 had no legs? Wow.

And omg Bod lives? That's the real news of this thread.
