There is unironically nothing at all wrong with this statement.
"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

I disagree that any of these are a genrewide problem. Some of these proposed "fixes", such as no save points, would break the game. Save points exist as sort of a point to point stage system. For the record, all recent JRPGs allow for quicksaving, which is saving at any point. This post by IGN is just more pro-American anti-Japanese bs.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I know this is half-jokey, but I'm sure we could come up with a better list. How about this one:
1) If you need to have sex in your game, do it right.
2) No more marines, lol.
Less Random combat, less enemy spawning.
More story variety than just save the world.
Mix the emo and the marine please. But not tooo much. How about cowboys too?
Remove the solo hero and emphasize teams
Less value on levels and more value on techniques
Implement more social aspects to character abilities.
Save points suck. If you insist to keep them implement a quick save. GBA/DS style.
Fix combat. Row/turn fights are an 8bit legacy based on D&D.
How about an occasional modern RPG? Most are fantasy, steampunk or scifi.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

I do feel that way, if your definition of "variety" is "having one generally good genre and one generally outdated, esoteric, and increasingly irrelevant one."
