I think there was a typo on the title, instead of 38m it should say 3.8m.
All i see is 38 Million PSN accounts.
Not 38 Million PS3's.
Or did i miss something?
PSP owners are also included in the 38 million.
38 million accounts does not imply 38 million consoles. I have two accounts on mine, we are two users and many have Japanese accounts in addition to get different demo's and such.

locking due to misleading title, as the news article doesn't say 38m sold, only 38m PSN accounts. The 3.8m sales data is spot on though.
This might be a lockable thread, since it's saying that VGChartz is undertracking the PS3 by 6.5 million!
