While I agree that the 360 is behind on the visual front, not necessarily a fault of the specs, I can't agree that the 360 won't at least continue to compete. Beyond that, IMO does it really have to compete? Look at what is being provided for it in 2010:

- Mass Effect 2

- Alan Wake

- Splinter Cell: Conviction

- Halo: Reach

- Fable III

- Metro 2033

Even if none of those touch games on the PS3 visually, which isn't necessarily true IMO, I don't see the big deal. They'll satisfy their fanbase and show that the 360 is capable of graphically appealing games.

Of course ^^ Great graphics does not = great games! so I have no problem saying that those 360 games will be great games. But since this thread was about amazing graphics, I don't see any need to bring any 360 games to the discussion. the 360 games can have great art-style though and of course be graphically appealing, but mind blowing, new generation-defining graphics? A BIG NO. That's for the PS3 games to handle. PS3 games are the games that are pushing console graphics this generation and last generation it was XBOX.

Again, I agree that the PS3 currently has the edge. I just heavily disagree with the highlighted.

It's ok! =p Opinions are opinions! How boring would it be in this world if we all agreed! opinions leads to discussions, and discussions are in many cases (or at least some) what leads to the best results!

I'd say GT5 but that will probably be put aside because it's a racing game. From the games I've seen (e.g., heavy rain, mass effect 2, god of war 3, etc.) there doesn't seem to be a clear winner. At least tentatively I'd say that it will be a ps3 exclusive (going by history) with a big possibility that a Q4 game will pull off it.

I personally don't think the last guardian is all that special and not sure why it's even listed in the OP.

I don't think any Xbox 360 game will top Uncharted 2 in graphics, not even Gears of War 3 (if they make it on the current Xbox). So the question is, will any PS3 game top Uncharted 2 in graphics this year? From what I've seen and read, only GoW 3 seems like a contender for the best console gfx this year. (more may pop in)

Also Crysis pc vs console graphics, Crysis from my experience was an impresive tech demo, but when I played the game, I wasn't amazed by how well it looked, it may be impressive technological feat, but Uncharted 2 did impressed me much much more.

To me, Wii (seriously)

Mario Galaxy's graphics are amazing! The sequel will probably be even better!

For the HD twins... hmm, from what I've seen so far, that Splinter Cell multiplayer thing trailer wins. It's so cool the animations of both players on the same screen, both looking like spiders climbing on the wall! Plus the messages and objectives on the scenery are amazing!

And I just can't understand how you all can be that excited with car graphics! They may be "perfect"... but I they don't get me excited or astonished... they just look boring.

 

Edit: Bayonetta is amazing too! Shockingly great graphics!

Mario and Sam Fischer will have to work realy hard to take the crown from her!
