you forgot your /jk at the end my friend... FF14 this year?  Maybe the beta, but not the game and SOE releasing something like DCU after so little time in development... unlikely

One thing about Sony is they haven't been shy about announcing upcoming games loooong in advance. I mean GT and FFXIII which they've been boasting since '06 will finally get released in '10. So I don't see any surprise major games suddenly being unveiled for this year from Sony. However GT, FFXIII and GoDIII are already a very, very strong line-up.

It looks to be a great year for all three systems. It'll be fun to watch how it unfolds.

First, can we stop hyping Natal, the Sony wand, and the vitality sensor, talking as if they really matter and are actually gonna change the console wars?? We've seen/heard/know damn near squat about all three, and who knows if they'll even be supported all that much. The same goes for games. Why mention games we know very little about in a thread asking what Ninty/Sony has to counter MS in 2010??

I say wait till E3. Why was this thread even made, though? We're not even a week into the new year, and yet we're speculating whether or not Sony or Nintendo can counter Microsoft's endyear lineup. As if nothing can be announced within the next 300 days *sigh*

And if Halo: Reach is marketed just half as much as Halo 3, then it doesn't stand a chance to win hype-wise either.

Resistence 2, Uncharted 2 and Motorstorm are not major system sellers.  Great games yes.  System sellers - no.  Never even heard of Siren before now. 

I'm just saying I'm not expecting some E3 announcement for holiday '10.   If they had a system seller big gun, (which at this point is unlikely, I think the only major franchise left not already in play his gen is Kingdom Hearts) we'd already know it.   Of course GoD3 or GT5 might be used to counter Natal potential.   I'm not following Sony so I'm not aware if they have firm release dates yet.

And yes MS has been guilty of this too.   Even Nintendo to a lesser extent.  We knew of Wii Music from '06 too.

These two sentences contradict each other. Some would say you just owned yourself.

Anyway, there are a couple of huge titles that have yet to be announced (Agent, Resistance 3 and so on). A number of these titles could be announced at E3 and scheduled for a holiday release.

Sony and Ninty have very strong games coming out this year. Your argument is Invalid.

idk its 2 early 2 tell sony do have  unannounced games like exodyssey it sounds like its going 2 be a good game
