I wouldn't say the PS3 is a Dreamcast yet but when you're getting beat by the Gamecube (launch adjusted of course) there's not much real company beyond the Dreamcast. Unlike the Dreamcast though, despite coming in a distant last place the PS3 won't kill the SCEA which along with the two being nothing alike is the main reason I don't think that's an apt comparison.
I've always said I thought the PS3 would be like the Saturn, from a major video game company, has a successful predecessor, the most expensive and difficult system to program for, etc. As the Saturn did to Sega I do think the PS3 will (has?) fatally weaken SCEA.
