And yeah, I agree with Barozi. Too pro-Nintendo, but with the guys that were participating, you can't help it, that's just the way they are.

What kind of stuff do you guys want to hear about in future podcasts? Brett has some powerful contacts while Ben, Keith and I have some mid-tier guys we are friendly with in terms of industry data. The problem is a fair amount is rumor/speculation/secretive. For instance I heard some interesting stuff about Natal yesterday but I'm not really allowed to share it as its in the planning stages and thus it may be worthless anyway.

O rly?  How so exactly? And I'm guessing you wouldn't discuss what you like in an opinion based feature such as a podcast?  Fact is we made sure to cover a lot of news on every console, I own all the consoles and actively play them all, same for Sensei & Kitchen with the exception of PSP, and most of the discussions spanned the GotY picks, so yeah every console was covered... >_>

I'm about halfway through it now and apart from the mic problems and a few quiet moments I think it was a very good first effort.

Looking forward to more.

Definitely way to nintendo centric. The speakers, especially Maxwell have some talent and charm, and I feel the length was okay.. Remember, length is relevant to the frequency of release, we do not know how often the pod cast will be, nor if it will always be this length. I think it flowed pretty naturally honestly.

While you did cover news from all consoles, the tone and general bias towards Nintendo was really strong in the podcast. Of course, this isn't necessarily a problem, but I think maybe you should have pod casts for each platform, and maybe have a podcast featuring the owners of the site to discuss all platforms.

It's important that the members of these forums, the people who are rating these podcast to realize that the people doing this are not professionals, nor are they journalists. They are just speaking their mind and if they are fans of a certain platform, without being trained to speak in a neutral way its not going to come out as neutral, even if they intend it to be so.

I think the big guys, (ioi, source etc) really should get in on it. You all seem like very intelligent and generally pretty well composed about taking sides, it would make for a fantastic listen.

Other than that, the gentlemen who put this one on did a great job. anything lower than a 3/5 is pretty unreasonable, have you guys ever listened to IGN pod casts? Those guys do that for a living and are generally sloppy and no where near as focused as these guys were.

Props to you all, and I hope to see more!

4/5 for me, thanks for your effort and time, but try to either make it a Nintendo centric podcast and go nuts or be a little more careful next time about how you address each platform.

Thanks for the comments, honestly we covered everything we could without trying to go on and on about one subject too much, and I'd say we had much better recordings you guys didn't get to hear due to recording issues previously. 

But as for being Nintendo centric, we try not to be, its basically we're onions :P we say what is on the top of our minds which gets into the podcast, but if you talk to me and Kitchen normally we're talking about things like how much we love things like Batman AA which sadly we didn't even get to rave about in the podcast since that really didn't win any awards and was one of our faves this year.

And yeah if its still a big deal we've got other podcast staff that wasn't able to make it for the podcast, hopefully we can have guys like MM and outlaw (who originally signed up and were supposed to be the other side of the coin to me and Dan) can be on the upcoming episodes but we just didn't have time to get them on board this week

Not listening to it all but i heard enough...

Pros -

• Maxwell gave the best feedback overall.
• TKS sounds like chris griffion which adds lol worthy effect.
• they covered quite abit.
• the sales talk was good.
• and lastly the overall clarity was good, voices were very much hear-able.

Cons -

• 60Mins = Far to long, 15 mins sounds about right.
• Not nearly enough talk about PSP, almost nothing.
• Slightly to much talk about the Wii, got slightly irritating.
• Some parts when they were talking sounded weird, such as short fade outs and beeps.
• Lack of Maxwell air-time.

it could have been better but it was in the end informative and semi-pro-ish i liked it much more then ANY of IGN's podcasts thats for sure, but it needs more versatillty and guess people from the forums to add more to the podcast as a whole. i vote Darthdevion and makingmusic! ahh and Outlawauron!
