Forums - Gaming Discussion - Name at least one bad thing about the company you love (current-gen)

Capcom: Where the fuck is my new Knights of the Round? I've been waiting for almost 20 years now!

Around the Network

Nintendo - Making neat peripherals then ignoring them

Warrior of Light #66

"I'm not illiterate, my parents were married!"

3DS FC: 2878 9589 2016

Nintendo:
-Afraid to make M-rated games for their older audiences.
-Besides Brawl others Nintendo games need more replay value.
-Better online and more channels.

New Year, New Avatar.

Sony

*Cancelled games such as Heavenly 2(dunno if its official tho)
*Not getting same content off PSN on evry region.
*PSP go.

Sony- Lost Exclusives for PS3 that PS2 had, PSPgo bad idea, to expensive, no UMD

Around the Network

Nintendo:
- Way too casual
- They love money too much
- Few new IPs this gen and few first-party great games in general
- Motion control was a mistake and poorly executed most of the times
- Cammie Dunaway

Sony

- Removing backwards compatibility after including it with the original SKUs.
- Making the console too expensive at launch thereby allowing the competition to overtake them.
- Being too arrogant when the console launched.
- Not acquiring any great RPG studios (Atlas or Level 5 would have been great)
- Allowing too many exclusives to get away

Sony:

-Lax focus on RPG's
-PSP Go
-No custom soundtrack option in all PS3 games

Sony:

- Not leveraging all their available assets. How does Sony get beaten to movies on demand when they own a movie production company?

- Backwards compatibility. Dropping PS2 backwards compatibility was probably a good idea financially, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.

- No cross-game voice chat. Really. It's been over 3 years and Sony still hasn't figured it out.

- Lack of forward thinking. It really seems like Sony is content with playing catchup in nearly every aspect of the console wars. Hey, Microsoft released movies on demand, let's make our own store. Hey, Nintendo's motion controls seem to be popular, let's copy it. Hey, Microsoft has all these great XBox360 features (in-game XMB, custom music, crossgame voice chat, achievements, etc.), let's slowly copy them over several years with tons of incremental updates.

I love my PS3, but even I will tell you that Sony is slacking, and has no idea what direction it's going.

SONY

- Too little focus on RPG's
- Not enough PS1 Classics in the store.
- Not enough PSP Games in the store.
- Announces games too early.
