This has seriously a chance to beat Titanic. I am going to watch it tomorrow (of course 3D =P )
Wow really? That is absolutely massive O.O
I can see why though, it's a great movie.
Wait, did this movie just make another 200 million dollars when I wasn't watching?
HOW?!!
(looks at foreign boxoffice numbers)
It's the work of the devil I tell ya!!!
Wow.
Gonna have to go see it this weekend methinks. If i must, i will drag her there
Let's hope something can finally beat Titanic!
Pretty damn good, although as a regular cinema results tracker I have to be a slight killjoy and point out Avatar is enjoying a higher than average percentage of 3D showings - which cost more, hence it's performance has been inflated compared to a 2D film in terms of physical 'bums on seats'.
Mind you, this is one of the reasons why Hollywood is keen on pushing 3D.
Avatar will soon be number 2 in terms of straight revenue, non-adjusted for inflation and ticket prices, putting Cameron in an amazing position.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
To put it in perspective, The Dark Knight took pretty much its entire theatrical run to make that milestone. Avatar did it in just 17 days. By next week it should beeat Return of the King and Pirates to become the second highest grossing movie of all time, behind Titanic.
Amazing.
