Not trying to fire anyone up but the stock of Wiis were extremely low if not sold out while the Xboxs were in pretty good shape (both Elites and Arcades). It sort of amazes me that Wiis are still in such great demand. 

this isn't really uncommon after christmas, esp given the economy and how tight most retailers kept stock this year as to avoid the fiasco they had last year (ordering huge stocks, economy tanked and being left with huge stocks of items to sell for months to come). most stores werent expecting a great holiday season, and kept very tight inventory.

overall though, stores intentionally want low or empty (esp with expensive items) inventory after christmas. as whatever they have on hand can be assessed as part of their inventory tax for the new year. janurary is typically a weak sales month for most stores anyway, its a bargin bin month to clear excess inventory for the spring buying season.

in hawaii. there's a LOT of ps3s at best buys and stuff. maybe you guys should order them from here. =]

Yup in Canada we sold out of 120GB almost as fast as the Wiis and Then the 250GB were snatched up just as quickly. The 3 SKUs for the 360 were still there.... the 199 Arcade the 179 Pro and the 249 Elite

toronto, majority of stores sold out as well ppl r endin up buyin refurbished 60gb, 80gb, 160gb from eb games.

I was in 3 countries the last two weeks:
Japan had enough of stock and were not sold out (I was there a few days after the FFXIII launch)
In China (Shanghai) there were a few available and they had still plenty Vii's
Belgium (Antwerp) They are not sold out but the last days before New year the stock available shrinked drastically.

dont think sony could even produce enough ps3's in time for christmas. didnt jack tretton say they undershipped

120 gbs are gone at my best buy, walmart, and gamestop. the 250 gbs are still plentiful in stock. wiis are sold out and i only saw a few elites in each store. also that damn black wii remote was sold out everywhere, was finally able to find it at walmart after they restocked
